Poison Autumn

Irradiated sunrise breaks the sky, casts a glow upon the village
Good reason justifies why none remain to gaze upon
All gone, for they left with great haste
As clouds filled the sky, burdened with the waste
That serves to intensify the dawn

The leaves remain red every month in the village
The seasons whittle by, yet red is the cloak they don
A poison red upon the lawn, as the leaves are forever marked
Years passing by, the grass green and snow stark
Yet the scar is never gone
